Careers In Accounting - February 10, 2012
Posted: January-04-2012
Welcome back to the first week of the Spring Semester! We often say the best way to get ahead is to start early, that's why we're happy to announce the first accounting event of the year!
The annual Careers In Accounting event is your chance to meet and mingle with employers, faculty members, the accounting designations and alumni and learn about where a career in accounting can take you! This year's event promises to be bigger and better than last years, with more networking, prizes and a chance to learn about the different designations prior to meeting firm representatives.
Whether you're in first year, or fourth year, don't know a thing about Canada's different accounting designations or are already pursuing a designation, the Careers In Accounting event is often regarded as the single best way to get ahead. That's because you get the chance to learn from industry professionals about what accounting is really like in the real world. The event also gives you the chance to expand your professional network and improve your networking skills.
We have also invited a keynote speaker, Jan Sampson (FCA) who will shed more light on the much talked about CA, CMA and CGA merger. If you're in accounting, you need to know how today's decisions affect your profession tomorrow.
