About Us
Founded in 2007 by Joana Li and Sean McInnes, The Accounting Society of Kwantlen was established as the first and only student-led accounting club at KPU — created for students, by students. Now known as The Accounting Students of Kwantlen (ASK), and officially registered under the Kwantlen Student Association (KSA) in 2023, ASK continues to serve as the central hub for accounting students seeking growth, leadership, and professional development.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to empower students to achieve excellence beyond the classroom. By providing targeted events, mentorship, and industry connections, ASK bridges academic learning with real-world opportunities. We foster a community built on integrity, inclusivity, and growth — where students can collaborate with peers, faculty, alumni, and professionals to build confidence, expand their skills, and unlock their full potential as the next generation of accounting leaders.
